Conductivity of selected pure bls
The Conductivity Meter model 12Z has two context-sensitive buttons and a high resolution LCDdisplay. The function of each button is shown in the lower part of the display. When notmeasuring conductivity the display shows the temperature of the probe in °C.

The leftmost button turns the instrument on and off and the central button perbs Calibration( Cal ).最左邊的按鈕打開和關閉儀器，中央按鈕執行校準（Cal）。

The conductivity values of standards shipped with the instrument are recorded initsnon-volatile memory. To calibrate, just place the sensor against the standardand press "Cal". The 12Z will now be calibrated around that conductivity value.The instrument can only be calibrated with the standards supplied with the unit.

?Lift-off compensation and measurement提升補償和測量
The 12Z provides the user with lift-off measurements which can be used tobuate coating thickness or surface condition. It allows to accuraby measureconductivity even in rough "as-cast" surfaces.

?Low power operation低功耗操作
The unit is powered by four "AA" alkaline batteries which provide around 100hours of continuous measurement. The auto-shut-off system extends battery lifeby turning off the unit if it is not being used. Replace all four batteries immediabywhen the battery indicator shows an empty battery.

Principle of operation 工作原理
12Z傳感器產生一個高頻磁場（60kHz），它在要測試的大部分樣品中感應出渦流。傳感器和樣品之間不需要接觸，可以進行真正的非接觸式測量。這樣可以通過非導電涂料（如油漆或表面氧化物）進行精確測量。
A high-frequency magnetic field (60kHz) is generated by the 12Z sensor which induces eddy currents in the bulk of the sample to be tested. There is no need of contact between the sensor and the sample, allowing true non-contact measurement. This allows precise measurements through non conductive coatings such as paints or surface oxides.
